Bernard shot to fame on the original series of
"The Comedians" back in the early 1970s ,
and never looked back , moving on to star in
TVs "Wheeltappers & Shunters" comedy club show .

Sometimes controversial , but always supremely funny , Bernard is one of the grand masters of
British comedy without a doubt , and even approaching 70 years of age , he is still playing to packed houses regularly all over the world .

He also owns his own venue , "The Embassy Club"
in Manchester , where many a young comic has
been given their first break in the business .
